Solar Installers and Retailers in the Hunter Valley
A solar system uses energy from the sun to power your home or business. It is an eco-friendly and renewable source of energy. However, you must maintain your solar panels to ensure that they continue working efficiently.
Arise Solar scored four stars across all research categories. It offers a range of products and services, including battery storage solutions and EV charger installations.
Arise Solar
After 13 years in business, a Fresno solar installation company closed its doors last week. The owner blamed delays in city approvals for the closing. His business owed money for materials such as copper wire, and he wasn’t able to make final payroll. He also cited a steep increase in the price of electricity and claims that he was obligated to complete a project to wire a farm for solar.
Solahart, an Australian-owned and operated company that offers solar hot water systems and energy storage solutions, was rated highly by this year’s research. It scored five stars in overall satisfaction, customer service and advice, and installation process. It also offers a two-year interest-free payment plan for customers who want to pay off their system over time.
SolarHub
SolarHub is a solar energy company that has helped thousands of homes reduce their power bills. It also offers solar battery systems, smart meter installation and energy optimisation devices. SolarHub operates out of Canberra, Batemans Bay and Bega, and is one of Australia’s largest solar retailers and installers.
Their service is highly personalised and focuses on getting the best system for each customer. They have knowledgeable staff who are happy to discuss the pros and cons of different brands and systems. They also offer a variety of finance options.
Their office staff is also very helpful and efficient in completing the post-installation paperwork and dealing with the power company to reprogram the electricity meter. They use SolarEdge inverters, which are very easy to install and monitor.
Origin Energy
Origin runs six natural gas-fired power stations to provide everyday energy use and five peaking stations for high-demand summer or winter power. It also operates a large network of solar systems. Its customers can choose from a variety of electricity plans, including fixed-rate tariffs and discounts, as well as carbon-neutral options.
The company has received $70 million from the Australian Government to develop the Hunter Valley Hydrogen Hub (HVHH), a commercial-scale green hydrogen supply chain in Newcastle’s industrial and port precinct. The project will build a grid connected 55MW electrolyser that will produce green hydrogen from sustainably sourced water and renewable electricity.
The HVHH will be partnered with Orica, a mining and infrastructure solutions provider that captures nitrous oxide, a greenhouse gas 250 times more potent than carbon dioxide, at its Kooragang Island facility. This will help reduce emissions at the site and enable Orica to sell its green hydrogen for heavy transport.
Bradford Energy
Bradford Energy offers a range of solar products, including panels, batteries, inverters, and monitoring systems. The company also offers home insulation and ventilation. Their products are designed to reduce or eliminate future power bills, and improve a home’s energy efficiency.
Unlike traditional solar panels, Bradford’s new technology is safe for the environment and does not leak hazardous materials. The company will work with a landscape designer to provide evergreen-type vegetative screening for project areas that are viewable from residential structures.
Bradford Energy’s ActivPlan allows homeowners to install a large 6.6kW solar system for no upfront cost. This includes a discounted energy retail plan and the ownership of the system after 60 months. The company also sells a ’SolarPack’ and ’ChargePack’, which include solar panels, an inverter, and a monitoring system.
Solargain
Solargain is another Australian-owned solar retailer with a long history of retailing energy products. It offers a range of solar panels, solar hot water systems and battery storage solutions, with most options coming in the form of pre-established packages. Bradford is a Clean Energy Council approved solar retailer and claims to hold its installers to a high standard. Despite dropping from last year’s top spot, the company still managed to score four stars across our research categories for overall satisfaction, customer service and advice, installation process, and durability of the system. It also boasts a robust after-sales service department. Moreover, it has an extensive network of branches across Australia.
